Personal data collection
In France, personal data are protected by Law n° 78-87 of Jan. 6 1978, Law n° 2004-801 of Aug. 6 2004, article L. 226-13 of the French penal code and the European directive of Oct. 24 1995.
In any case, Elseware only gathers personal user related data (name, electronic address, telephone numbers) for the sole purpose of this website’s services – i.e. registration to a newsgroup – or for statistical processing. The user provides this information with full knowledge of the facts, especially when he/she proceeds to enter the data directly. Web users of the Framasoft network are then told about the potential compulsory nature of the information they may provide.
Correction of collected personal data
Corresponding to the stipulations of article 34 of Law n° 48-87 of Jan. 6 1978, the user is entitled the right to modify all gathered personal data that is of concern to him/her. In order to do so, the user sends Elseware :
- an e-mail using the appropriate request form.
- a postal mail to the above headquarters, indicating its name or corporate name, its physical or electronic address, and if necessary his/her reference tag as an Elseware website user.
